WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE Report from the COP 27
In order to navigate the Conference, reports Cellular Phone Task Force assistant Kathleen Burke from Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, one must have a cell phone out and on nearly at all times. For the United Nations’ 27th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change, held this year at this resort city on the Red Sea, four fake palm trees have been erected on the grounds of the COP in order for the 40,000 conference attendees to all be on their cell phones at the same time, all day long, every day for two weeks. Each “tree”, captured in the foreground in the photo above, is simply a metal scaffolding for antennas.
The Safe and Sound Pro II radiofrequency meter, which Kathleen brought to the COP in order to measure radiation levels, reads “Extreme” at all times everywhere on the grounds of the COP, inside and out. She may be the only person at the conference who does not have a cell phone.
The purpose of Kathleen’s participation as an observer at the COP is to begin to build bridges to the people who care most about the future of our world, who are not even aware of an existential threat that is even more urgent than the one they came to Egypt to address, and yet is intimately related to it. She is distributing the following letter to the delegates—a letter that I wrote and officially submitted to the COP 27 before she arrived. Kathleen delivered the letter by hand today to all the offices of the parties (the countries represented at the Conference), as well as the Environmental Defense Fund and the World Health Organization.

A blind spot must be filled
Outside of an atomic nucleus, there are only two fundamental forces in nature: gravity and electricity. The electromagnetic force is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times stronger than the gravitational force. Yet much of western science pretends that it does not exist. This is now having terminal consequences for life on Earth. The consequences for life are being blamed on microorganisms. The consequences for the environment are being blamed on climate change.
This Conference is rightly concerned with halting the burning of fossil fuels. Unless that is stopped, the Earth will become uninhabitable. But even if it is stopped, the Earth will not survive unless global electrosmog is also stopped—electrosmog from the wireless cloud and from satellites. And electrosmog is even more of an emergency than climate change. We have only years to stop it, not decades. In addition, many of the strategies for reducing our dependence on fossil fuels—solar power, wind power, the smart grid, electric vehicles, smart highways, smart cities, and so forth—are only making matters much worse. The methods used to gather information about altered animal habitats—GPS, radio tracking devices, etc.—are killing wildlife instead of saving them.
The following are a few of the facts that the United Nations must immediately recognize and take control of in order for our children to live to grow up:
Electricity, and no other force, is responsible for life. The study of electricity must be restored to biology, chemistry, and medicine. Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) interfere with the flow of electrons in our nerves, our brains, and our hearts’ pacemakers. This is responsible for the recent huge increases in the prevalence of neurological diseases such as ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and autism, and the large increase in the incidence of heart attacks in young people. EMFs interfere with the flow of electrons from the food we eat to the oxygen we breathe, which occurs day and night in the mitochondria of every cell in order to make the energy necessary for life. This interference with metabolism—interference with the burning of sugars, fats and proteins for energy—has put all living things into a state of oxygen deprivation. This is occurring to every person, every animal, every insect, and every plant, without ceasing and without possibility of escape. The reduced ability of our cells to digest sugars is called diabetes. The reduced ability of our cells to digest fats causes them to be deposited in in our tissues, resulting in obesity. It causes them to be deposited in coronary arteries, resulting in heart disease. The reduced ability of our cells to utilize the oxygen we breathe causes them to revert to anaerobic (non-oxygen-using) metabolism, resulting in cancer. The extraordinary increases in these four pandemic diseases—obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer—are predominantly caused by constant radiation from personal wireless devices and the global infrastructure that supports them. In bees, which have a very high metabolism, this interference is quickly lethal. Colony collapse disorder is caused almost entirely by electrosmog. The 75% decline in flying insects in nature reserves throughout Germany, and the 98% to 99% decline in the number of crawling insects in a Puerto Rican rainforest—decreases that reflect what is globally being called “insect apocalypse”—are predominantly caused by the enormous increase in the intensity of radiation from the global wireless infrastructure. The unprecedented mass deaths of nesting birds worldwide in the spring and summer of 2022 was due to the tremendous global intensification of wireless infrastructure now occurring on land, in space, and in the oceans. The emissions from wireless devices are called radio frequency (RF) radiation. In addition to the general interference with electron flow in our bodies that occurs from any source of EMFs, RF radiation carries complex information from one wireless device to another in the form of frequencies and pulsation patterns. It carries the same information to the cells of our bodies, interfering with and drowning out the communication between our cells, and between our bodies and the Earth. This interferes with reproduction, growth, differentiation, maturation, healing, and normal functioning, and is responsible for the dramatic degradation of human health in the past two and a half decades. From November 6-18, 2022, the 27th annual United Nations Conference on Climate Change, known officially as the Conference of the Parties, or COP, will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. More than 40,000 people from across the globe are expected to attend. The Cellular Phone Task Force is sending New Mexico resident Kathleen Burke to COP27 to promote the body of research of Santa Fe scientist and author Arthur Firstenberg, whose work focuses on the ongoing destruction of life on Earth by microwave radiation.
Kathleen is attending COP27 as an official observer for the League of Women Voters U.S., which as an official observer organization to the COP is allocated a quota of members to attend. One of those representing the League at COP26, last year in Glasgow, Scotland, was environmental lawyer Lora Lucero, also of New Mexico. “Politicians and countries won’t act, can’t act, fast enough to move us off the destructive path we’re on,” said Lora, explaining her reasons for attending. “Business-as-usual, including the strength of the fossil fuel industry and the lack of political imagination will doom our future generations. We cannot let the leaders lead. People must lead — and force the politicians to catch up with us, pressing leaders to act consistently with the climate reality. Public engagement will tip the scales.”
Kathleen, hired as executive assistant to Mr. Firstenberg earlier this year will carry his work to the Conference. She expects to spend time both inside at the official proceedings as well as outside at protests and demonstrations.
Among the documents she will take to the Conference will be Arthur’s updated Radio Wave Packet, his research on the Birds on Texel Island, and the International Appeal to Stop 5G on Earth and in Space (see banner at the top of this newsletter). Kathleen will also promote an international campaign that we will launch this month, about which details will be reported in our next newsletter.

Dal 9 all’11 febbraio 2024, sciatori di fama mondiale provenienti da tutto il mondo si riuniranno a Lake Placid, New York, per saltare da un ripetitore.
Un collega mi ha segnalato questo orrore. Tra poche settimane si terrà a Lake Placid un evento di Coppa del Mondo di salto con gli sci FIS, ospitato dall’Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA). Lei e sua figlia hanno visitato il luogo come turisti la scorsa settimana. Ha scattato la foto qui sopra della torre dopo averla scalata. Scrive:
“Mentre stavamo arrivando in cima alle scale interne per i turisti (dopo l’ascensore) presso il complesso olimpico di salto con gli sci a Lake Placid, NY, improvvisamente mi sono sentita di svenire e di avere le vertigini e ho iniziato a perdere l’equilibrio. Ho chiesto a mia figlia di aggrapparsi a me, mentre io mi aggrappavo alla ringhiera. Mi sono tirata verso l’alto fino al gradino più alto, ma quando sono arrivata al piano del “pianerottolo” – prima di qualsiasi parte di vedetta – improvvisamente mi sono sentita come se la mia testa fosse in una morsa – una sensazione strana e nuova per me, che non assomigliava a nessun mal di testa che avessi mai avuto in vita mia, con entrambi i lati della testa che si sentivano come se fossero premuti verso l’interno, e con forza. Poi, quando sono uscita, ho provato un’altra sensazione decisamente nuova, nel petto, come se il mio cuore fosse scosso vigorosamente su e giù, velocemente e con forza. A quel punto ho alzato lo sguardo e ho visto un enorme fascio di antenne che sembrava trovarsi a circa 9 metri sopra e a sinistra della mia testa.
“Rimasi stordito mentre avanzavo verso il punto in cima alla pista da sci, dove i saltatori si “lanciano”. Quando finalmente siamo scesi al livello successivo per prendere la “Zip Line” per i turisti e scendere in fondo alla pista da sci, ho sentito un enorme sollievo nel mio corpo. Ma sono rimasto inorridito dal fatto che qui presto gareggeranno e salteranno atleti di tutto il mondo, con la necessità di massima concentrazione ed equilibrio”.
Nel 1999 c’erano tre antenne sulla torre del trampolino da sci, alta 277,9 piedi, e nel corso degli anni ne sono state aggiunte e potenziate altre due dozzine. Il danno è aumentato nel 2021, quando Verizon e T-Mobile hanno aggiunto altre antenne, è aumentato ancora nel 2022, quando AT&T ne ha aggiunte altre, ed è aumentato ancora il 9 dicembre 2023, quando Verizon ha aggiornato alcune delle sue antenne in vista dell’imminente evento della Coppa del Mondo. Ora ci sono tre livelli di antenne a pannello che circondano la torre del trampolino da sci su tre lati, oltre a una mezza dozzina di antenne a frusta in cima. Quando gli sciatori si trovano in cima alla pista da sci, se guardano in alto possono vedere, a circa 30 metri sopra di loro, il livello superiore di antenne per cellulari sulla parte anteriore della torre e le antenne a frusta sulla parte superiore. Non possono vedere le antenne dei cellulari sul retro, né le due file di antenne più basse su ciascun lato, alcune delle quali si trovano allo stesso livello della loro posizione.
Quando uno sciatore si siede sulla barra da cui si lancerà, viene irradiato direttamente dall’alto sia dalle antenne a pannello che da quelle a frusta, e questa radiazione rimbalza sulla neve riflettente sotto di lui mentre scia lungo la pista prima del salto, quadruplicando la radiazione a causa delle riflessioni. E questo non è nemmeno il problema principale. Il danno causato dalle radiazioni non è solo dovuto al loro livello di potenza, ma anche alla loro larghezza di banda e al numero di segnali in cui si è immersi. Le antenne di questa torre per il salto con gli sci trasmetteranno centinaia o migliaia di segnali contemporaneamente durante l’evento di Coppa del Mondo, quando ogni spettatore utilizzerà il proprio telefono cellulare.

RESTORED HEALTH AND VITALITY FROM DITCHING MY CELL PHONE by Kathleen Burke
A year ago, I was leading a normal, full, active life with no idea of the damage my mobile phone was doing to me. On July 1, 2022, I cancelled my mobile phone service (“cell phone” in the U.S) and turned off the wireless function on my computer as well as the modem. I made these changes at the request of my respected ally and colleague, Arthur Firstenberg. In order to work together I had to experience, first-hand, the shedding of wireless technology, and I had to be willing to “be the change”. It seemed extreme at the time, and as readers may recall, I even cried over the matter before making my final decision. But ten months into this experiment my life is different, and better.
When people ask me if I regret having given up my cell phone, my answer is unequivocally “No”. I don’t miss texting on a phone. I don’t miss GPS. I don’t miss reading news that some news aggregator selected for me. I don’t miss QR codes for this, that and everything else. I do not regret ridding myself of having a cell phone and I would not go back to having one.
I generally feel better… a lot better! Before the wireless purge I was waking up five-six times a night, walking to the bathroom only to urinate minimally and returning to bed; sometimes falling back to sleep, sometimes not. In the weaning off process, I began sleeping better and I now sleep deeply every night and wake up maybe once a night. I also had had chronic stomach aches in the early morning for ten years. Doctors ruled out acid reflux, ulcers, etc. The stomach aches are now gone, entirely. I had frequent nightmares, and I often had headaches upon waking. Those are all gone as well. I wake up happy now instead of lethargic and depressed. Who knew?
My energy level changed noticeably after giving up my phone. I went from long days surrounded by wireless technology which rendered me exhausted, to equally long workdays ending still healthy feeling and still energetic. Now I easily move from the end of the workday to getting on my bicycle or hiking boots and going, rather than languishing due to low energy. This is the primary reason I will not go back to wireless phone or wireless computer. My life, my living is that much better now. I haven’t needed acupuncture for several months. My prana is better. My chi is stronger.
Other things I have noticed: my hair is growing in healthier and I have noticed more new hair growth along my hairline. In my cell phone using days I lost a lot of hair. There was a one-year period, 2016-2017, when I engaged in a lot of high-stress work and carried two cell phones at the time. I lost about one third of the hair on my head during that period and my hair greyed at a rate faster than I had previously seen. At the time I believed that it was simply stress which caused my hair loss. Now, I see it differently. I believe it was the result of having two cellphones near me and in operation at nearly all times. Two cellphones in close proximity produce a tremendous amount of toxic, I call them “slow death”, microwaves, though in truth, for many people they are “fast death” microwaves; those causing cardiac events, for instance. My body reacted to all the radiation. My cells coped, but poorly. I am experiencing a recovery now. My weight has normalized, which would be expected if my cells are now functioning better.
Once I began weaning myself off the cellphone, prior to shutting off my service altogether, I only powered it on rarely. When I began that process, I noticed that when I looked at the screen while powering on the phone, I felt quick and sharp pains in my face. They were subtle, but obvious, something like invisible low-pain darts hitting my face. I had never before felt these pains. I only felt them when I used the phone and only very briefly. I took that as a warning and further reason to get rid of the phone. I have not felt those pains again since except when the Bluetooth was accidentally turned back on in my computer for a few weeks—a few weeks during which my vision deteriorated for no reason that I could fathom until I realized the Bluetooth was on. I turned it off immediately and make sure that it is off every morning when I boot up.
The immediate effects from wireless are not noticed by most of us who have become accustomed to the damage microwave radiation is doing to us. Decreased health and vitality—and increased diseases and demand for medications—is thought of as “normal”. When I was carrying two cell phones I did not “feel” the effects they were having on my body. I didn’t “feel” my mitochondria. I didn’t “feel” cell death. I didn’t relate the deterioration of my body to my use of devices. But that is what was happening. I was aging myself prematurely, unknowingly.
Before I cancelled my service, I spent two months deeply researching the effects of electromagnetic radiation on living beings. I read peer-reviewed studies, books, reports from scientists around the world, and more. I found references to thousands of such studies, both recent and dating back decades. MORE THAN FIFTY SPECIES OF FISH CIRCLING AND SPINNING UNTIL THEY DIE
Several of my subscribers have called my attention to this. In February 2023, in the middle of the Florida Keys — a long, narrow string of islands hooking down into the ocean from Miami — many different kinds of fish, both common and rare, began spinning round and round, or swimming frantically in circles, until they beached themselves and died. This has continued, and as of April 5, 2024 has been observed in more than 50 species, including: sharks, rays, snappers, pilchards, grunts, blue runners, squid, Goliath grouper, tarpon, snook, redfish, leatherjacket, yellowfin mojarra, scaled sardine, toadfish, mullet, permit, ballyhoo, jack crevalle, yellow jack, bonefish, pinfish, bigeye scad, sand perch, needlefish, spadefish, and the critically endangered smalltooth sawfish, which is pictured above.
No cause for this has been found. There is no evidence of a red tide, low oxygen levels, high temperatures, or parasites in the dead fish.
I was skeptical that RF radiation from cell towers could be causing this because water reflects the radiation and it shouldn’t be killing fish like it is killing birds. But I decided to investigate. Because the greatest number of reports have come from a 10-mile-long stretch of the Keys between Big Pine Key and Sugarloaf Key, I wondered if there is a military facility in that area, and there is, or was. On Cudjoe Key, located between Big Pine Key and Sugarloaf Key, there was an Air Force Base that is now operated by the Department of Homeland Security. And above Cudjoe Key floats a radar blimp, called an “aerostat”, that is part of U.S. border surveillance and scans an area around it for 200 miles in every direction. Powerful radar can injure fish when they swim to the surface in these shallow waters, called the Florida Keys flats, where the water is only a few feet deep. Local residents call this blimp Fat Albert.
There may be underwater sonar in use at this facility as well, which would be likely to affect all the fish, either alone or in combination with the radar. In November 2022, the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) at Cudjoe Key began recruiting for a variety of positions, including Flight Director, Site Laborer, Logistics Supply Coordinator, Logistician, General Maintenance Worker, and one position that was advertised as “Electronic Technician – Aerostat Sonar / Radar – Blimp Surveillance System – Cudjoe Key, FL”.
The sudden large number of job openings makes one suspect that this facility has recently been upgraded and has increased the scope of its operations, which evidently now includes ocean sonar.
The person who first observed fish circling to death, and called attention to it, was Gregg Furstenwerth, a diver who lives in Cudjoe Key.
CIRCLING WORMS AND SHEEP
As I reported three years ago, the launching of almost 100 satellites by SpaceX and OneWeb on a single day on March 24, 2021 caused illness all over the planet in both humans and animals. Among the effects on animals was a spiraling, or circling phenomenon in worms (photo taken in Hoboken, New Jersey on March 25, 2021):

CIRCLING TURTLES, SEALS, PENGUINS, SHARKS AND WHALES
In 2021, Japanese scientists reported on bizarre circling behavior of green sea turtles, Antarctic fur seals, king penguins, a whale shark, a tiger shark, and a Cuvier’s beaked whale. This was observed in the seas off Oahu, Hawai’i; Okinawa, Japan; Moheli Island, Comoro; Chichijima Island, Japan; Possession Island in the Indian Ocean; Bird Island in South Georgia; and the Ogasawara Islands in the western North Pacific Ocean. The animals circled round and round for up to an hour. “One turtle swam in large circles 76 times, with each loop taking 16 to 20 seconds”, reported New Scientist. This behavior was also caused by radiation: all these different whirling sea animals wore computers (“multi-channel data loggers”) and VHF transmitters, and the sea turtles also wore GPS devices. Instead of enabling them to study the animals’ behavior, the devices were causing the bizarre behavior.
CIRCLING BEES
Grayson in North Carolina is one of my subscribers who sent me information about the circling fish in the Florida Keys. He reports also on circling bees:
“I still have the sample of carpenter bees harmed by a wi-fi light sensor at my home in 2016ish. They did the same thing. They passed through the sensor’s field and dropped to the base of the light and crawled around in circles for days… There were 23 total and they did not respond to water or honey and water or anything. They just crawled around in circles.”

Il 19 dicembre 2023, sulla rivista New Phytologist, (Il Nuovo Fitologo), dei ricercatori francesi hanno pubblicato uno studio su un altro aspetto del declino della vita sulla Terra. Le popolazioni di api e di altri impollinatori sono diminuite a tal punto che le piante da fiore che necessitavano di insetti per riprodursi in modo efficiente si sono evolute in meno di 25 anni per diventare migliori autoimpollinatori e per non aver bisogno di insetti per riprodursi.
Le viole del pensiero provenienti da semi raccolti alla fine degli anni ’90 e all’inizio del 2000 sono state coltivate accanto a viole del pensiero provenienti da semi raccolti nel 2021. I tassi di autoimpollinazione erano del 27% più alti nelle piante cresciute dai semi più recenti. I fiori erano più piccoli. I petali erano più corti. I labelli – le piattaforme di atterraggio che attirano gli insetti – erano più piccoli. Il tempo di fioritura era più breve. Si apriva un minor numero di fiori al giorno. Gli speroni nettariferi erano più corti, c’erano meno guide nettarifere e i fiori producevano meno nettare. Un numero maggiore di bombi ha visitato i fiori cresciuti dai vecchi semi rispetto a quelli cresciuti dai nuovi semi.
Gli autori hanno messo in guardia dagli effetti a cascata sulle popolazioni di insetti: “Queste diminuzioni nella produzione di nettare possono rafforzare il declino degli impollinatori se i livelli di nettare scendono al di sotto di quelli necessari per sostenere le popolazioni di api selvatiche. I cambiamenti ambientali possono quindi rappresentare una doppia minaccia per le popolazioni di impollinatori, che diventano vittime sia dei cambiamenti stessi sia dell’evoluzione dei tratti delle piante”.
Gli autori hanno messo in guardia dagli effetti a cascata sulle popolazioni di insetti: “Queste diminuzioni nella produzione di nettare possono rafforzare il declino degli impollinatori se i livelli di nettare scendono al di sotto di quelli necessari per sostenere le popolazioni di api selvatiche. I cambiamenti ambientali possono quindi rappresentare una doppia minaccia per le popolazioni di impollinatori, che diventano vittime sia dei cambiamenti stessi che dell’evoluzione dei caratteri delle piante”.
Gli autori hanno elencato solo l’inquinamento, la distruzione dell’habitat e le specie aliene come cause del collasso degli impollinatori. Ho inviato agli autori una lettera, con link a revisioni della letteratura, per informarli che le radiazioni RF sono la causa principale del declino degli insetti. Li ho invitati a unirsi alla coalizione di scienziati, organizzazioni e individui che stiamo formando per affrontare l’emergenza globale delle radiazioni.

Leroi scrive dalla Francia: “Anche qui il numero di insetti e uccelli è diminuito notevolmente (di 2/3), mentre il 5G non è ancora stato installato…! Il numero di nascite di animali ed esseri umani disabili è in aumento dagli anni ’90, inizio della diffusione dell’uso del computer”.
Chrisleine scrive dall’Andalusia, in Spagna: “Molti dei sintomi che descrivi si avvertono anche qui: quasi niente uccelli; niente colombe. Quest’anno nemmeno un’ape nel mio giardino”.
Emma scrive dal Sudafrica: “La prima torre 5G è stata installata nel 2019, a 50 metri da me. Nel giro di pochi giorni ho avuto una polmonite fungina. Un paio di settimane dopo ho avuto palpitazioni che non si fermavano. E adesso… animali domestici malati, perdita di insetti, io sono ancora più malata. C’è anche un’epidemia di “influenza aviaria” e di influenza dei conigli (sì, proprio così!). Ci sono molti uccelli morti, ma l’intera popolazione di conigli è morta nella zona di Kyalami. Prego per la liberazione di questo pianeta dalle radiazioni”.
Tammy scrive dal New Brunswick, Canada: “Le torri cellulari hanno ucciso tutti gli uccelli e gli insetti a Kings Place, dove lavoravo. Avevamo un problema di uccelli, che nidificavano sui tetti, ma ora non più. Tutti gli uccelli sono spariti. Charles scrive dall’Himalaya: “Vivo in un ashram remoto e le cose andavano bene con la fauna selvatica, anche il 2G era fattibile, ma quando il 2G è passato al 4G, la decimazione delle popolazioni di uccelli e insetti è stata notata sia dagli abitanti del villaggio che dagli abitanti dell’ashram, ma come dici tu, tutti sono troppo occupati ad ascoltare la musica per fare davvero qualcosa al riguardo”.
Karl scrive dalla Germania: “Sono 74 e un professionista IT. Ho osservato per 20 anni come le gru attraversano la nostra casa ogni autunno durante il loro volo verso sud. Ora c’è una grande torre di trasmissione a circa 20 chilometri di distanza con un collegamento radio che passa direttamente davanti casa nostra. Se gli uccelli migratori entrano in questa zona, la loro navigazione è alla fine. Non sanno cosa fare e finiscono qui sul prato. Molte volte, in qualche modo sono riusciti a trovare la loro strada più tardi o il giorno successivo.

L’elettrosmog è l’insieme dei campi elettrici, dei campi magnetici e delle radiazioni elettromagnetiche che ci investono 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7, da tutti i dispositivi elettrici ed elettronici, dai cavi elettrici, dalle linee elettriche e dai dispositivi e dalle antenne wireless. Nella comunicazione via cavo, le informazioni vengono trasmesse attraverso i fili e i campi elettromagnetici (CEM) e le radiazioni sono involontari. Un’ingegneria appropriata può ridurre al minimo questi campi e radiazioni indesiderate.
Nella comunicazione wireless, invece, le radiazioni sono il prodotto. Le radiazioni sostituiscono i fili nella trasmissione delle informazioni. Senza fili significa radiazioni. La possibilità di utilizzare un dispositivo mobile ovunque sulla terra significa che ogni metro quadrato della terra deve essere irradiato in ogni momento. I dispositivi mobili operano nello spettro delle microonde, con il risultato che l’intero pianeta sta ora nuotando in un mare di radiazioni a microonde che sono da milioni a miliardi di volte più forti delle radiazioni del sole e delle stelle con cui la vita si è evoluta (1).
La vita si basa non solo sulla chimica, ma soprattutto sull’elettricità (2, 3). Il flusso libero di elettroni è essenziale per il funzionamento dei nostri nervi, del cuore e del metabolismo (3). Le interferenze con queste correnti elettriche causano malattie neurologiche, cardiopatie, malattie metaboliche come il diabete e il cancro (4). Gli organismi con tassi metabolici molto elevati, come le api e altri insetti, stanno scomparendo (5, 6).Migliaia di studi documentano gli effetti devastanti delle radiazioni wireless su mammiferi, uccelli, insetti, anfibi e foreste (7).
Poiché i CEM non sono una sostanza estranea agli esseri viventi, non si applica un modello tossicologico e non esiste una risposta alla dose: ridurre la potenza non riduce l’effetto. Anche un segnale quasi immensamente debole può interferire con il normale funzionamento biologico (8). “Mentre il concetto di dose rate/SAR è adeguato per la descrizione degli effetti termici acuti, non è applicabile per le esposizioni croniche a M[icro]vasi termici”. (9). Anche a livelli di potenza prossimi allo zero, è stato riscontrato che le radiazioni a microonde modificano la struttura del DNA (10) e alterano le onde cerebrali (11). Alcuni studi hanno persino rilevato una risposta inversa alla dose. Quando la potenza delle radiazioni viene ridotta di 1000 volte, i danni alla barriera emato-encefalica aumentano. (12). Da una revisione di 113 studi è emerso che le radiazioni di minore potenza tendevano a causare i maggiori danni ecologici (5). In un’altra revisione di 108 studi sperimentali, un livello di esposizione più basso tendeva ad avere un effetto biologico maggiore, e la differenza era altamente significativa (p < 0,001) (13).
I danni causati alla nostra salute e al nostro mondo dai dispositivi wireless e dalle loro infrastrutture sono dovuti non solo alle frequenze portanti delle microonde, ma anche alla modulazione e agli impulsi a bassa frequenza che trasportano le informazioni trasmesse. “La modulazione può quindi essere considerata come un contenuto informativo incorporato nell’onda portante a più alta frequenza che può avere conseguenze sulla salute al di là di qualsiasi effetto prodotto direttamente dall’onda portante” (14). Indipendentemente dall’onda portante, la modulazione è la stessa perché deve trasportare le stesse informazioni. Pertanto, l’utilizzo della luce come onda portante, come avviene per le brevi distanze con il LiFi, o del suono come onda portante, come avviene negli oceani, non riduce i danni.
La scoperta che una sola esposizione di due ore a un telefono cellulare nel corso della vita, anche quando la potenza del telefono era ridotta di 100 volte, ha causato danni cerebrali permanenti in giovani ratti (15) rende probabile che stiamo crescendo, e forse abbiamo già cresciuto, una generazione di bambini con danni cerebrali. Non c’è dubbio che questa situazione debba cessare e che i telefoni cellulari non siano sicuri a nessun livello di potenza, a nessuna
NON IRRADIATE GLI UCCELLI!
A metà ottobre 2019, il Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project (Progetto di recupero di Uccelli Forestali di Maui), in collaborazione con l’U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, (Il Servizio di Pesci e Fauna U.S.A),lo Stato delle Hawaii, The Nature Conservancy, (La Conservazione della Natura), l’American Bird Conservancy, (La Conservazione degli Uccelli Americano) la Pacific Bird Conservation (La Conservazione degli Uccelli Costieri del Pacifico) e lo Zoo Globale di San Diego, hanno attaccato radiotrasmettitori VHF alle zampe di 10 psittorinci di Maui prima di rilasciarli nella Riserva Naturale di Nakula, sul versante meridionale del vulcano Haleakalā. Gli psittorinci di Maui, una specie di picchiatori che si trova solo a Maui, sono in pericolo critico di estinzione. Sono piccoli, pesano meno di un grammo. Di questi piccoli uccelli intelligenti e longevi ne rimangono meno di 150.
Gli uccelli – alcuni allevati in cattività e altri selvatici – sono stati rilasciati nella foresta tra il 27 e il 30 ottobre 2019. Il 16 novembre tutti gli uccelli erano morti, tranne i tre che erano riusciti a rimuovere o disattivare il loro trasmettitore. I dettagli sono scioccanti.
Sette psittorinci selvatici sono stati catturati dalla riserva dell’area naturale di Hanawī e trasportati nelle voliere alla riserva di Nakula la mattina del 17 ottobre per essere rilasciati nella nuova riserva ornitologica proposta. Uno degli uccelli, il numero WILD9, ha ricevuto il suo trasmettitore il 29 ottobre. Prima di quel momento era forte e in salute, ma non appena il trasmettitore è stato attaccato, è saltato a terra ed è rimasto immobile sul pavimento. Mezz’ora dopo, ha infilato la testa sotto l’ala. Lo staff del Recupero Uccelli ha quindi rimosso il trasmettitore, ma l’animale non si è ripreso. Ha continuato a rimanere seduto tranquillamente sul suo posatoio ed è stato trovato morto la mattina successiva.
Un altro uccello selvatico, il numero WILD10, ha ricevuto il suo trasmettitore il 26 ottobre. Ha attaccato ferocemente l’imbracatura che lo teneva, l’ha morso e l’ha rimosso. È stato trovato a terra il 28 ottobre. Più tardi, il 28 ottobre, il team Recupero Uccelli (Bird Recovery) le ha applicato un nuovo trasmettitore. Il 29 ottobre era letargica e non mangiava. Il 30 ottobre, era “sprimacciata e inattiva”. È stata trovata morta la mattina del 31 ottobre.
Gli altri cinque psittorinci catturati in natura sono stati rilasciati nella riserva di Nakula con i loro trasmettitori intatti. WILD5 è morto l’11 novembre. WILD8 è morto il 5 novembre. WILD11 è morto il 16 novembre. WILD1 è riuscito a rimuovere il suo trasmettitore il giorno successivo al rilascio ed è stato osservato per l’ultima volta, in buone condizioni, il 24 novembre. WILD7 ha rimosso il suo trasmettitore l’8 novembre ed è stato osservato per l’ultima volta, in buone condizioni, il 12 novembre.
Anche cinque psittorinci allevati in cattività facevano parte del progetto. Erano stati tutti allevati in centri di riproduzione per la conservazione degli uccelli a Maui e alle Hawaii e avevano un’età compresa tra i 5 e i 18 anni. Due di questi uccelli sono morti durante le due settimane di preparazione per il rilascio, sebbene avessero prosperato per anni nei centri di conservazione degli uccelli. L’uccello numero MP022 ha ricevuto il suo trasmettitore il 29 ottobre. Come WILD9, è saltato a terra ed è rimasto sul pavimento dopo che il trasmettitore è stato attaccato, ma a differenza di WILD9, si è girato su un fianco e ha continuato ad attaccare il trasmettitore con il becco, finché non è rimasto con la mandibola incastrata nell’imbracatura. Il personale ha rimosso il trasmettitore e lo ha rilasciato nella riserva di Nakula senza, ma non si è ripreso ed è morto il 2 novembre. L’uccello numero MP026 è stato rilasciato con il suo trasmettitore il 29 ottobre ed è morto il 5 novembre. L’uccello MP023 è stato rilasciato con il suo trasmettitore il 28 ottobre ed è riuscito a rimuoverlo il giorno successivo dopo essere stato osservato “muoversi su un percorso diretto fuori dalla Nakula NAR”. Presumibilmente ha volato il più lontano possibile dai suoi rapitori. Anche l’uccello numero MP027 è sopravvissuto perché non è stato rilasciato con un trasmettitore. A questo uccello era stato applicato un trasmettitore in una prova precedente, l’8 aprile, e si è immediatamente sdraiato sul dorso sul pavimento della gabbia senza muoversi. Vedendo ciò, il personale ha rimosso il trasmettitore dopo pochi minuti. Il 23 ottobre gli è stato nuovamente attaccato un trasmettitore per un breve periodo, ma hanno deciso di non includerlo nell’esperimento e di restituirlo al centro di conservazione di Maui, dove era ancora vivo e vegeto alla data di pubblicazione del rapporto dell’MFBRP, il 15 marzo 2021.
Gli autori del rapporto hanno attribuito ogni morte di psittorinci alla malaria, nonostante i fatti, riportati nel rapporto, che la malaria non era mai stata riscontrata negli uccelli nei centri di riproduzione o nella riserva di Hanawī, da cui provenivano tutti gli uccelli; che non è mai stato noto che la malaria infettasse più del 10 o 15 per cento circa di una qualsiasi popolazione di uccelli di picchio; che la malaria non uccide tutti gli uccelli che infetta e che i falchi sono noti per sviluppare una resistenza ad essa; che negli uccelli sono stati trovati anche altri parassiti; e che il tempo medio dai primi sintomi alla morte per gli uccelli in questo progetto è stato di “1-2 giorni”, il che non è tipico della malaria. Due “psittorinci maschi grandi e sani” sono morti dopo poche ore dai primi segni di ridotta attività. Gli autori dello studio hanno scritto:
“Non è chiaro se questi uccelli abbiano potuto contrarre la malattia nella Nakula NAR, poiché hanno sviluppato i sintomi più rapidamente di quanto sia tipico e sono morti più rapidamente di quanto sia stato riportato per altri picchiatori”.
Hanno poi ipotizzato che:
“Le necropsia hanno trovato parassiti in diversi sistemi di organi, il che indica una grave infezione sistemica che si è spostata dal flusso sanguigno ad altri tessuti. Questo potrebbe essere
HUMANS, BEES AND WILDLIFE IN 2023 1 Babies are being killed by hospitals
A correspondent in North Carolina sent me this account a few days ago of a healthy newborn who was irradiated nearly to death by the hospital environment:
“I want to relate what happened to my Goddaughter’s baby brother at the Duke Medical Center earlier this spring. Baby Emiliano was born in excellent health, but when I returned 12 hours later, he had been moved to a different room and I became concerned because I myself developed dizziness, tremor, and headache within about 5 minutes of visiting his room.
“I knew to check my RF meter because these are microwave sickness symptoms which I get when the RF levels are high. The Cornet measurements hovered between 11 and 15 milliwatts per square meter! Personally I need the RF levels below about 0.006 milliwatts per square meter, so I can’t imagine what it was doing to an infant who was only 12 hours old. When I opened the curtains I noticed there was a round 5G pole outside on the street; also straight out of his hospital window you could see a rooftop cell array that looked like several large white panels on top of another hospital building across a small green quad. You could see them clearly because the other building was shorter, which meant that the roof panels lined up horizontally nearer to the level of the baby’s window.
“By day 3, Emiliano had developed jaundice and soon was put in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which also had very high radiation levels. While on that unit, his jaundice numbers continued to climb, and he developed a rash. I found it interesting because I developed a rash too. I developed a butterfly rash across my face and the baby had a full-body rash on one side of his body. I told the nurse that I had a 5G rash, just like the baby. She had no clue what I was talking about. She explained that lots of babies get this rash, but they don’t know what causes it.
“After several more days in the Duke Main NICU his condition continued to worsen. I was forcing myself to visit him in the hospital, despite my being horribly sick there, because I am very close with the family. My own rash would return along with the dizziness, tremor and headache every time I visited. These would go away within 12-24 hours of leaving the hospital and returning home. The baby had to stay in the radiation, though.
“After many more days in the NICU, being irradiated 24/7, the baby developed a staph infection near his tiny fingernail. The infection began spreading down his finger and they were talking about amputating his finger. By then, I had been working for days to persuade his mother to have him transferred to Duke Regional, a smaller hospital in the northern part of the city, and finally she asked to transfer him. My reason is that I knew that Regional had much lower RF levels based on her prior visit there during early contractions when she had stayed overnight and background radiation levels in the room were between 0.003 and 0.01. (Durham Regional is in a less affluent part of town, with lower-tech overall.) They transferred the baby by helicopter and the baby’s health improved immediately. Within 48 hours of being transferred away from the high radiation at Duke Medical, the rash improved dramatically, the jaundice scores declined, and the staph infection began to improve.
“The radiation levels at Regional were about a thousand times lower than at Duke Main. Also at Duke Regional there were no visible 5G poles or roof arrays outside the baby’s windows. The baby recovered fully there and is home now.”
2 Cancer in young people is skyrocketing
A review of cancer statistics in young people in 44 countries has been published by an international team of scientists. The rate of cancer in people under 50, they found, has increased dramatically in every one of those countries. The study, published in Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, is titled “Is early-onset cancer an emerging global epidemic?” The authors speculate on various possible causes for this epidemic, including diet, lifestyle, obesity, the microbiome, and genetic susceptibilities, but are forced to conclude there is no evidence that any of these factors have caused the global increase. There is one mention of ionizing radiation in a single sentence, and no mention whatsoever of RF radiation.
Investigative journalist Felice Freyer interviewed two of the study’s authors as well as six other cancer specialists from Harvard, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Tufts University about the results of that study. I mailed her a copy of my book along with the following letter:
“I read with interest your article of July 22, 2023 in the Boston Globe titled “Rise in cancer among younger people worries and puzzles doctors.” I also read the Nature Reviews paper referred to in your article (‘Is early-onset cancer an emerging global epidemic?’).
“I too have been following the increase in certain cancers in young people, but in relation to a very specific environmental factor: radio frequency (RF) radiation from the cell phones younger people have been carrying much of their lives. There is extensive literature on this connection, including a plausible causative mechanism. I believe exposure to wireless technology, especially cell phones, is the cause of much if not most of the recent rise in cancer in young people.
“Supplementary Table 1 in the Nature Reviews study lists trends of 13 types of cancer in 44 countries. The types of cancer with a rising trend in at least 75% of those countries are cancers of precisely the organs most heavily irradiated by cell phones:

WORLDWIDE TESTIMONIES ABOUT SMART METERS
Five weeks ago, I asked people to email the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) about their experiences with smart meters. Heartbreaking testimonies poured in from around the world. Stories about catastrophic effects on the health and lives of adults, children, the elderly, pets, farm animals, birds, wild animals, insects, worms, plants, neighbors, workers and entire communities.
Below are excerpts and summaries of some of the 271 testimonies that are posted on the public comments page of the PRC’s website (requires registration to view). Jennifer Andree is a New Mexico resident who was severely injured by a smart meter “that has completely devastated my life.” She is a nurse and a veteran who knew nothing about smart meters until she was injured by one. This occurred on Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. “For three and one-half months,” she writes, she slept with her head approximately one foot away on the other side of a wall from an electrical panel containing two electric smart meters. “Anything that carries an electric current or emits any radiation” now causes her headaches, brain fog, and internal burning. “I can no longer tolerate living in an urban environment,” she writes, “so I have moved to South Dakota, to a cleaner environment in the country. Because of the harms I was exposed to, I am separated from my family, which has contributed to my suffering… I have a nursing license, but can no longer work in my profession.”
Maryann McCabe writes from the UK: “From the time [the smart meter] was turned on, I could not walk around in my flat, I could not write an email, I could not think and I could not sleep. It was an absolute nightmare until it was switched off.”
Harriet Greene, formerly of New Mexico, writes: “I was able to opt out and keep my old meter. Everybody I talk to who was forced to accept smart meters has complained of numerous effects.”
Lauren Bond writes, “Smart meters were installed in my building, and the radiation they emit inside apartments creates for myself, a constant burning pain to my skin.”
Jeanne Thompson writes from California: “My mother died of a massive brain tumor caused by a row of six Smart Meters outside her condo, on the wall where the head of her bed was. We discovered this after she had already passed. You can imagine my shock and horror at that realization.”
Dr. Linda Thomas writes, “I have seen hideous debility in adults and children secondary to Smart Meters being installed in my area.” These include absence seizures in a 2-year-old boy and chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia in his mother.
Mario Desira writes from Malta: “Back in 2017 my electrical meter caught fire and nearly caused a house fire. Luckily I was at home and intervened before anything worse happened.”
Persephone Maywald writes from California that she was diagnosed with suspected Parkinson’s disease a few months after a smart meter was installed, and that she later had the meter replaced and within a few weeks all her symptoms disappeared.
Simone St. Clare writes from California that since a smart meter was installed, there have been almost no hummingbirds at her feeders and a decrease in caterpillars in her garden.
Deirdre Novella writes from New York that her hair started falling out within a few months of a smart meter being installed at her place of work, that she was diagnosed with leukemia, and that she developed a lifelong allergy to electricity.
Sheila Reavill, who works as an electromagnetic radiation specialist (“EMRS”) in Georgia, writes that after smart meters were installed, “the smart meter signature I logged [on her radio frequency meter] in my bedroom was at the precise times I wake up at night”; that her next door neighbor and her neighbor’s daughter wake at the exact same time she does every night; that her border collie began having skin problems and would wake up whimpering at the exact same time also; and that she and her dog both wake up at that same time with diarrhea.
Rebeca Randle writes from California that while she had a smart meter she could not sleep and there were no birds; and that when the smart meter was removed, the birds came back.
Robert Workman, an EMRS in Missouri, writes: “I have confirmed injuries from wireless radiation and the Smart meter seems to be the most damaging to me and my clients. Once the ITRON electronic meter is removed many of my clients have an immediate response to an improved health. This meter has been torture to myself and others in St Louis, it is my professional opinion this meter kills all biological life.”
Health practitioner Diane Peterson writes from California that “For the majority [of people], they suddenly developed symptoms and only later discovered that the symptoms began immediately after the smart meter was installed.”
Sema Kelly writes: “My friend’s neighbor had a smart meter put in. She didn’t know it had such dangers, but soon found out her chickens in the yard had huge tumors growing on their throats and body. The eggs they laid were odd shapes and colors, and the chickens appeared to be tired, which was not ever seen prior to the installments of the smart meters.”
Andre Fayolle writes that a smart meter gave his family headaches, caused the animals, birds and insects to disappear, and caused a fire that burned down his house.

History
During the 1950s clinics were established in Moscow, Leningrad, and other cities in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe to study and treat thousands of workers suffering from a new occupational disease. It was named radio wave sickness. These patients manufactured, inspected, repaired or operated microwave equipment. Some worked at radar facilities, others for radio or TV stations, or telephone companies. Still others operated radio frequency heaters and sealers being used in an expanding number of industries using technology developed during World War II.
The patients at these clinics suffered from headaches, fatigue, weakness, sleep disturbance, irritability, dizziness, memory difficulty, sexual dysfunction, skin rash, hair loss, decreased appetite, indigestion, and occasionally sensitivity to sunlight. Some had heart palpitations, stabbing pains in the region of the heart, and shortness of breath after exertion. Many developed emotional instability, anxiety or depression, and a few had mania or paranoia.
On physical exam they had acrocyanosis (blue fingers and toes), decreased sensitivity to odors, sweating, tremors, altered reflexes, unequal pupil size, heart arrhythmias, and unstable pulse and blood pressure. They had abnormal EEGs and EKGs and, in advanced stages, signs of oxygen deprivation to the heart and brain. Some developed cataracts. Blood work showed hyperactive thyroid, elevated histamine, elevated blood sugar, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides, an increase in blood proteins, a decrease in the albumin-globulin ratio, decreased platelets and red blood cells, and abnormally high or low white blood cell count.
Although only about 15% of microwave workers complained of their illness, and only 2% ceased working (Sadchikova 1960, Klimková-Deutschová 1973), laboratory work revealed abnormalities in the majority of workers. Blood cholesterol was elevated in 40% of microwave workers (Klimkova-Deutschova 1974), triglycerides were elevated in 63% (Sadchikova et al. 1980), fasting blood sugar was increased in 74% (Klimkova-Deutschova 1974), and 70% had abnormal thyroid activity. Objective cardiac changes were found in 18% to 35% of microwave workers, depending on the length of time worked.
These workers were exposed to microwave radiation only during working hours. And they were exposed to levels of radiation that were less than what the general public is exposed to now for hours per day, or even all the time, from cell phone and wireless Internet technologies.
Because of the large number of publications about radio wave sickness coming out of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, a US/USSR scientific exchange on microwave radiation research was begun in the mid-1970s. And the US government contracted with Dr. Zorach Glaser to catalogue the world scientific literature—journal articles, books, conference proceedings—on reported biological and health effects of radio frequency and microwave radiation. By the end of the 1970s, Glaser’s bibliography included 5,083 documents (Glaser 1984).
Also during the 1960s and 1970s, ophthalmologist Milton Zaret, under contract with the Army and the Air Force, examined the eyes of thousands of military and civilian personnel working at radar installations in the US and Greenland. Large numbers of them, he found, were developing cataracts. Most of these cataracts were caused by chronic exposure of the eye to radiation at power densities around one milliwatt per square centimeter—a level which is regularly exceeded by each of the eight billion cell phones in use today (Birenbaum et al. 1969; Zaret 1973).
During those years American biologist Allan Frey discovered that microwave radiation damages the blood-brain barrier (Frey et al. 1975), and he proved that humans and animals can hear microwaves (Frey 1961). One of the most active American researchers during the 1960s and 1970s, Frey caused rats to become docile by irradiating them at a power density of 50 microwatts per square centimeter (Frey and Spector 1976). He altered specific behaviors at 8 microwatts per square centimeter (Frey and Wesler 1979). He altered the heart rate of live frogs at 3 microwatts per square centimeter (Frey 1970). At only 0.6 microwatts per square centimeter, 100 times less than levels commonly encountered today at a normal operating distance from a wireless laptop, he caused frogs’ hearts to develop arrhythmias, and sometimes caused the hearts to stop beating, by timing the microwave pulses at a precise point during the heart’s rhythm (Frey and Seifert 1968).
In 1977 Paul Brodeur, in his book, The Zapping of America, warned that proliferating microwave towers and radar facilities were endangering public health. But compared to today, microwave and radio facilities were still very rare indeed.
When in 1977 Apple sold its first personal computers, exposure to high levels of electromagnetic radiation spread to the general population, and electromagnetic illness ceased being only an occupational disease. In that year deaths from asthma in the US, which had been declining steadily for decades, began to rise for the first time.
In 1981, Representative Al Gore chaired the first of a number of Congressional hearings on the health effects of video display terminals (VDTs). These were held because two editors at The New York Times, young men in their 20s and 30s, had developed cataracts; half of all surveyed UPI and AP employees were complaining of visual problems or headaches; an unusual number of babies with birth defects had been born to employees at The Toronto Star; and clusters of miscarriages were occurring among female VDT operators all over the U.S. and Canada.
The newspaper industry had been the earliest industry to be transformed by computer technology. During the 1981 hearings by the House Committee on Science and Technology, Charles A. Perlik, Jr., president of the Newspaper Guild, testified that had his membership known that VDTs were capable of dangerous emissions, “We would not have quietly permitted the transformation of an essentially benign workplace into a hazardous one.”[1] In 1985 Canadian author Bob DeMatteo published a popular book titled Terminal Shock: The Health Hazards of Video Display Terminals.
In the mid-1980s Olle Johansson, a neuroscientist at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, discovered a new skin disease. Since only people who worked in front of computer screens got it, he named it screen dermatitis. Such patients

How much radiation does a cell phone emit, compared to what exists in nature?
If Neil Armstrong had brought a cell phone to the moon in 1969, it would have appeared from earth to be the brightest object in the universe in the microwave spectrum. In the daytime, the sun would have been brighter, but at night, the cell phone would have outshone every star.
There is a reason cell phones are outlawed in Green Bank, West Virginia: even a single cell phone, even from miles away, would blind the radio astronomers there and make it impossible for them to see the stars. Astronomers measure radio waves in units called janskys. A typical star shines at 10 to 100 janskys. The Sun shines at about 500,000 janskys. When you hold a cell phone against your head, you are pumping energy at the rate of about 100,000,000,000,000 janskys into your brain.[1]
How does that compare to radiation from a cell tower?
Suppose there is a 2,000-watt cell tower two blocks from your house. The part of your brain next to a cell phone is absorbing up to one hundred thousand times as much radiation from the phone as it is from the tower.[2]
Are the FCC’s exposure limits the same for cell phones and cell towers?
No. Cell phones are exempt from the limits imposed on cell towers. The FCC measures exposure in milliwatts per square centimeter. Depending on frequency, the FCC’s limit for whole body exposure to radiation from distant sources is about one milliwatt per square centimeter (1 mW/cm2). The limit for partial body exposure to a cell phone is approximately 20 mW/cm2 (for the brain), which assumes the phone is held at least one and a half centimeters away from your head. It is 50 mW/cm2 (for the hands, wrists and ears). If you hold the phone flush against your head, like most people do, or tightly between your head and your shoulder, the exposure to the brain can approach 50 mW/cm2 also.[3]
Who set the exposure limits?
A radar scientist named Herman Schwan who was brought to the United States from Germany after World War II as part of Project Paperclip. He made some assumptions about the rate at which the human body is capable of getting rid of heat, and on that basis he estimated that the body could safely absorb an amount of radiation equal to 100 mW/cm2. His assumptions were soon proven wrong, since experimental animals died within minutes when exposed to that much radiation. So over the years, the safe level was reduced first to 10 mW/cm2 and later to the current limit of 1 mW/cm2.
Why is the brain exempt from those limits?
Because those limits would make cell phones impractical. And because new assumptions were made about how much heat the brain could safely absorb, and the rate at which the body could dissipate that heat. It was decided that the brain could be safely heated by up to 1° C (1.8° F).
Have these assumptions proven correct?
No. A 1° C rise in temperature is usually considered a fever. And although the brain as a whole is heated less than 1° C by a cell phone, the absorption is not uniform. DNA, for example, resonantly absorbs microwave radiation. In experiments done at the Food and Drug Administration during the 1980s, DNA absorbed 400 times as much radiation as expected.[4] Research done at the Max Planck Institute in Germany in 2006 found that brain synapses may be resonantly heated by up to 100° C while the brain as a whole is heated by only 1° C.[5]
I don’t get a headache from my cell phone. Can it be that bad?
Because brain tissue has no pain receptors, we don’t feel the injury. Even a headache doesn’t tell you what’s happening inside your head. Neurosurgen Leif Salford and his colleagues in Sweden found that a single two-hour exposure to a cell phone permanently destroys up to two percent of a rat’s brain cells.[6] Superficially the rats are fine, but two percent of their brain is gone. The experiments gave similar results even when the exposure level was reduced a hundredfold. And in experiments on the blood-brain barrier, they reduced the exposure level ten thousandfold and found that damage to the blood-brain barrier was worse when the exposure level was reduced.[7]
That means that holding the phone away from your head does not protect you. It means that if you use a Bluetooth headset, which emits only 2.5 milliwatts, you are doing more damage to yourself than if you hold the phone to your head. The blood-brain barrier keeps bacteria, virusus, and toxic chemicals out of your brain and maintains the brain at constant pressure. Too much intracranial pressure can lead to a stroke.
How fast does the damage to the blood-brain barrier happen?
Leakage of the blood-brain barrier is detectable within two minutes of exposure and probably begins within seconds.
What do the stroke statistics tell us?
The incidence of stroke overall is steady or declining but it is rising in adults younger than 50,[8] and shockingly so in very young adults. A Danish study published in 2016 examined the rate of strokes in people aged 15 to 30. The annual number of strokes in that age group in Denmark rose 50 percent between 1994 and 2012, and the annual number of transient ischemic attacks (mini-strokes) in that age group tripled.[9]
I’m confused. Which is safer, low power or high power?
Neither. The higher the power, the more heat. The lower the power, the more leakage of the blood-brain barrier. The higher the power, the more your metabolism is disturbed.[10] The lower the power, the more calcium leaks out of your

Prior to 1996, the wireless age was not coming online fast enough, primarily because communities had the authority to block the siting of cell towers. But the Federal Communications Act (1996) made it virtually impossible for communities to stop construction of cell towers —even if they pose threats to public health and the environment. Since the decision to enter the age of wireless convenience was politically determined for us, we have forgotten well-documented safety and environmental concerns and, with a devil-may-care zeal that is lethally short-sighted, we have incorporated into our lives every wireless toy that comes on the market as quickly as it becomes available. We behave as if we are addicted to radiation. Our addiction to cell phones has led to harder “drugs” like wireless Internet. And now we are bathing in the radiation that our wireless enthusiasm has financed. The addicted, uninformed, corporately biased and politically-influenced may dismiss our scientifically-sound concerns about the apocalyptic hazards of wireless radiation. But we must not. Illa Garcia wore jewelry the first day she went back to work as a fire lookout for the state of California in the summer of 2002. The intense radiation from dozens of RF/microwave antennas surrounding the lookout heated the metals on her body enough to burn her skin. “I still have those scars,” she says. “I never wore jewelry to work after that.”
Likely Mountain Lookout, on U.S. Forest Service land with a spectacular view of Mount Shasta, is one of thousands of RF/microwave “hot spots” across the nation. A newly-erected cellular communications tower was only 30 feet from the lookout. “One antenna on that tower was even with our heads,” recalls Garcia. “We could hear high-pitched buzzing. There were also three state communications antennas mounted on the lookout, only 6 feet from where we walked. We climbed past them every day.”
Motorola company manuals for management of communications sites confirm that high frequency radiation from these antennas is nasty stuff. Safety regulations mandate warning signs, EMF awareness training, protective gear, even transmitter deactivation for personnel working that close to antennas. Garcia and co-worker Mary Jasso were never warned about the hazards which, they say, demonstrates extreme malfeasance on the part of agencies and commercial companies responsible for their exposure.
By the end of fire season, Garcia and Jasso were so ill they were forced to retire and the lookout was closed to state personnel. Garcia, 52, is now severely disabled with fibromyalgia, auto-immune thyroiditis and acute nerve degeneration. Medical tests confirmed broken DNA strands in her blood and abnormal tissue death in her brain.
Dr. Gunner Heuser, a medical specialist in neurotoxicity, states that Garcia’s disorders are a result of chronic electromagnetic field exposure in the microwave range and that “she has become totally disabled as a result.” Dr. Heuser said, “In my experience patients develop multisystem complaints after EMF exposure just as they do after toxic chemical exposure.”
Jasso, who worked the lookout for 11 seasons, is now disabled with brain and lung damage, partial left side paralysis, muscle tremors, bone pain and DNA damage. Jasso discovered that all lookouts who worked Likely Mountain since 1989 are disabled. At only 61 years of age, she has lost so much memory that she cannot remember back to when her first three children were born. She fears that communications radiation may be a major factor in the nation’s phenomenal epidemics of dementia and autism.
Both women say they have been unjustly denied worker’s comp and medical benefits. Their pleas for help to state and federal agencies have been fruitless. Between them they have racked up over $150,000 in medical bills, although there is no effective treatment for radiation sickness.
Twenty-two other members of Garcia and Jasso’s two families received Likely Mountain radiation exposure. All suffer serious and expensive illnesses, including tumors, blood abnormalities, stomach problems, lung damage, bone pain, muscle spasms, extreme fatigue, tremors, numbness, impaired motor skills, cataracts, memory loss, spine degeneration, sleep problems, low immunity to infection, hearing and vision problems, hair loss and allergies.
Jasso’s husband, who often stayed at the lookout, has a rare soft tissue sarcoma known to be radiation related. Garcia’s husband, who spent little time at the lookout, has systemic cancer that started with sarcoma of the colon. Garcia’s daughter Teresa was at the lookout for a total of two hours during her first pregnancy. Her daughter was born with slight brain damage and immunity problems. “That baby was always sick,” says Garcia. Teresa spent only three days at the lookout during her second pregnancy. Her son was born with autism.
Garcia and Jasso also have a terminal condition known as “toxic encephalopathy,” involving brain damage to frontal and temporal lobes. This was confirmed by SPECT brain scans. Twelve others in the two-family group who also had the scans were diagnosed with the affliction. “All of us with this condition have been told that we’re dying,” says Garcia. “Our mutated cells will reproduce new mutated cells until the body finally shuts down.”
Nuclear bombs on a pole
Painful conditions endured by the families of Garcia and Jasso are identical to those suffered by Japanese victims of gamma wave radiation after nuclear explosions at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Five decades of studies confirm that non-ionizing communications radiation in the RF/microwave spectrum has the same effect on human health as ionizing gamma wave radiation from nuclear reactions. Leading German radiation expert Dr. Heyo Eckel, an official of the German Medical Association, stated, “The injuries that result from radioactive radiation are identical with the effects of electromagnetic radiation. The damages are so similar that they are hard to differentiate.”1

In May of 2010 they installed a RF Smart Meter. Between then and June 2011, I had made four trips to an ER for heart palpitations, tinnitus, extreme fatigue with mental confusion and inability to sleep. On top of being able to accomplish damn little due to the symptoms, the electric bills topped $200 per month when we didn’t add an appliance or use more of what we had.
In each ambulance ride, the symptoms went away after 30 minutes out of this Smart Meter Neighborhood. Then the symptoms returned within a day.
June 2011, I demanded they remove the smart meter because I was being over-charged. They replaced the RF Smart Meter with a hardwired digital Smart Meter in an attempt to placate me. And I am still being overcharged. The symptoms are a little less severe, but they still exist and are very hard to accommodate in any capacity. My name is Donald Newsom. I have an account with PG&E in my home. My desk is on the other side of the wall from the smart meter.
I am 42 and in excellent health. However, since this was put on our home without any permission I have had severe headaches and my right eye is twitching now uncontrollably. This doesn’t happen when I am away from my home (although now the problems are severe enough they are becoming constant). I believe it’s the smart meter. I have phoned them twice to have someone remove it but they will not.
On 10/18/2011 I called PG&E and they transferred me to Angel in Sacramento with the Smart Meter Department. I told Angel that my eye is twitching badly and that my headaches are getting severe. He took my information down and said he’d have someone get in touch with me. I told him I tried this once before, where PG&E said they would have a supervisor call me back, but when they did call 5 days later they hung up immediately after I picked up the receiver – which was 2 rings in. I saw it was PG&E via my caller ID. They did not call back. Thus, Angel told me he would have someone get in touch with me over the next week. I hope so… as I am now demanding this be removed.
I would like to have this smart meter removed. I have 3 adults living here and 4 children all under 13 years of age. PG&E did not allow us to opt out and put the meter on our home while we were away. It seemed to us very sneaky. How can a company put something on my home that may harm me and my children, and then not remove it when I tell them the harm it is now causing? I am hoping someone needs to come out and remove this from our home and put back the old style meter, or turns off the transmitter I am so sensitive to.
My body is now feeling very sick, I have headaches constantly and my eye may need surgery to stop the twitching. Further, we work where we live and home school our kids … so we are getting much exposure to the RF Transmissions and would like it to stop.

I have very disturbing symptoms after living for a year and a half sandwiched between 30 gas smart meters on one side and 30 electric smart meters on the other side. I also have wi-fi router and wi-fi radio which are probably part of the problem.
I am toasted by inability to sleep more than 4-5 hours and even those hours occur randomly so as to say my sleep patterns schedules are all out of whack. I have intermitant vertigo. I think I am getting cooked by meters in my location because I get unexplainable, VERY uncomfortable sweats that come upon me out of nowhere feeling like I am being heated up from the inside out, they make me feel very unbalanced and really mad as I usually evacuate my apt and go outside before I take a shower to try to feel good. My facial skin also has dried and aged and wrinkled beyond recognition. Most replies to my inquiries say I must move from this apt a.s.a.p. That is not an easy job.
Where am I going to be safe?
NO wi-fi recommended or maybe wi-fi will invade another neighborhood after I relocate there. Also getting away from the stupid smart meters they are everywhere here now. I know moving off the grid and living with solar power is ideal but that is not likely at this time. I cannot really start living in my car and spend my time at the park or whatever others report such as staying away from their homes as much as possible. MS, Humboldt County

Edison installed a new smart meter yesterday. I did not sleep last night. There is something going on in my head and body. I have ringing in my ears at a very high pitch. Like a dog whistle or crystal in some electronic device whistling. It is creating some sort of electric waves from my ear area to my body that is very uncomfortable. It is making me sick. It is like a chill but not quit. I am having a hard time describing it.
I called Edison right away and they tell me there is nothing they can do for me. But they say things like we care and have a nice day while I tell them I am being harmed as we speak.
